When considering a new name, the following strategies are a must

Make it meaningful not only to the company but also to your customers
Make it memorable
Make it unique
Be innovative, make it interesting
Reflect your personality and attributes in it
Don’t limit yourself by using initials and names of people who might not always be involved in the company.
Don’t limit yourself by using a placename, you may want to go into other markets.
Don’t limit yourself by making yourself look like a one man band by using your own name as you may want to employ staff
Make sure it reflects the right image
Make it relevant to what you do
Though not critical stay as close to the top end of the alphabet as possible

Ask yourself:

Who are your target customers?
What appeals to them?
What solutions do I offer to their problems?
What are the benfits I bring to my customers?
What are my competitors names and how can I stand out?
