Business cards are hugely important for anyone in business and it’s important that you are proud to hand out your card. With so many options available to you and at reasonable prices there is no excuse whatsoever to have cards that don’t accurately reflect your company as professional.
Firstly before starting your business cards, make sure your branding is up to date
Remember that cards can be vertical or landscape
The thicker the card the more quality they seem therefore this reflects back on your business
Get quality print and finish, always ensure a fine print without grain and clean edges
Do something different, eg; get out of jail card for a criminal lawyer
Keep them updated, even if you haven’t used them all from 3 years ago remember they aren’t as expensive as you think
Always use the back. Put something of value, list your benefits or add some credibility
Use full colour, it costs not much more than black or single spot colours
Proof the card before it goes to print
Make sure your details aren’t gong to change in the next little while otherwise only do a short run
The higher the quantity the more economical it is
Give them out at all opportunities, at networking events ask for others cards and they are bound to ask for yours
Don’t ever design and print your cards at home, your business card reflects your biggest asset which is your branding and if it looks unprofessional what does that say about you?
